ok, it's the start of the fourth week of summer school. i've been termed "nerd" and "study hardcore" - terms that has never been used to describe me, over the span of one week. bleah. alrighty, quick summary of the week:
mon
half day. no teaching in the morning but still met my mentor in sch library. had lessons in the aftn. sucky rite? everyone had long weekends except us.
tue
holiday! 4th July. big event. went park for bbq and vball (i sat on the mat to do my paper - how sad rite?). didnt like vball so wasnt that much of a loss. plus it rained. =p so went to serene's hse with all the other girls (8 staying tog) and hung out - they watched world cup and played games while yours truly worked. =( went for party at pastor's hse. became "famous" coz only person who "openly" disclosed "dating status".
wed-fri
sch. fri was bad day. had bible study at night. dont really like it because we're there from 7 to 1030pm but REAL bible study only started at 930? maybe 10. GRR.. wed nite's berkland (name of church) bible institute is better - basically like bible study but broken down into topics. i'm doing 'world religion' and 'prayer & meditation' classes with serene.
sat-sun
slack. i finished the paper due on monday like friday night. =) first time ever. so had the 'whole' weekend to rest. which was really good. stayed over at serene's on saturday night. we talked until 4am in the morning. thankfully church was at 1pm. =p watched world cup finals at church back room with tons of pple. quite fun. too bad france lost. =p
interesting stuff (in no particular order; abit random too):
serene and i were lazy to go out on sunday evening so we ordered in. online. food was sent to my apt instead of hers coz she forgot to change the address. hah! we got our food in the end when the guy called back and serene got him to send it over (it's 2 streets away so not too bad.. except all the streets are 1-way. so gotta make one round. bleah)
i made a new pair of earrings. ok, modified an old design. heh. spent a good 20-30mins on it. like i say, it was slack weekends!
cycled to church for the first time. =p
walked couple of miles to supermarket with serene and bike. used the handles of the bike to "carry" our groceries. managed to get 2 big containers of yoghurt. yummy! & peanut butter. =p
[today] had a kiss from my ex-partner's (she swapped team) daughter *stunned* on my cheek. right cheek. she said "my mother thinks very highly of you" and gave me just that. she's from Princeton, visiting her mum (@Harvard, grad from MIT *shakes head*). i did smell some alcohol under her breath though.. hmphf.
