it's a rather beautiful day. the sun's up and the weather's just right. not too cold, not too hot. there had been cold days.. as cold as how the start of winter will get. i'm sitting in the lounge of 9th floor MIT lab and waiting for love and gang to return with brunch. the next 12 hours or so would be intense for them - there's gonna be 2 desktop and maybe 4 laptops on the go as they ponder through puzzles, clues and questions that will eventually reward them with a feeling of accomplishment. haha.
sch has been great. i just love the students this year. i've had my bad days. days i didnt feel like mtg the students, but i guess those come and go. i've had fun, but it does get tough when you have to repeat yourself 5 times daily. my video projector finally came and it has helped lighten the load my right arm was used to with writing on the chalkboard. i wonder if it is a health hazard (is that why sg no longer uses chalk?) but in any case, i am very glad for the change. i did hear from another colleague that it might be possible to get my HOD to convert my blackboard to a whiteboard. pls pray for God's favour as i look into this. =)
life has been good. work-life/rest-hsework balance can be hard at times, but heys, no one said it was easy. love and i have been naughty playing mario kart wii until past bedtime. twice. no good. haha. but it's pretty enjoyable (not to mention, addictive at times). we've had friends over to play and last night after dinner, cy brought 2 remotes to combine with ours and played 4 players! wicked fun (& funny coz some of them were pretty bad - let's not mention names here =p) but even with our 42" tv, 4 split screens were small! i wonder how anyone would play with a smaller tv. love was saying you'll get the view of a nintendo ds! haha.
dinner last night was yummy japanese food. mm mm.. we arrived just in time for the only table (out of 2) left. haha! it's a very very small place, room for eh, let's see. 6+3+3? the # of waitress (4 or 5) and # of cooks (4?) kinda beat us hands down at some pt in time. lol. to end our palette, we headed to super 88 to grab 2 milkshakes - durian and avocado. now, i never knew, but avocado in chinese is 牛油果 (or translated, butter fruit!) *faint* talk about literal translation for FATS. of coz we have placed our order so heh, not much of a choice to 'turn back' from 'getting fat'. hehe.
latest update: the weather doesnt seem too 'nice' at the moment. grey clouds coming in. sun disappeared. maybe the weather guy's right about rainy sat (still refusing to believe =p)
