heh, never realised how much i miss eating it until i was shopping at the asian supermarket yesterday - went there to buy rice. was waiting for love to call me (i couldnt reach him on his hp) so i just walked the aisle of the supermarket. =p was trying to see if they sell laksa pre-packet stuff but wasn't too successful at that. happen to walk by the cold section - the one with milk and juices - and stumbled upon the noodles you used for wanton mee! an idea struck my head as the craving for it began. =p went to the frozen section to see if i could find any wantons (basically it's pork or shrimp, usually pork cos shrimp too expensive, wrapped in some skin) and i did. so the next time on my mind was char siew (roasted pork) and yep, they were selling cooked ones (i overheard someone saying it was freshly made on that morning! *beams*).
set. bought all the ingredients i wanted and made wanton mee! yummy! =p sorry was too hungry to remember to take pic. another day.. i still have some leftovers. didnt take too long. i was supposed to cook the noodles for like 1min but maybe i went too much, it came out abit soggy.. but love said he didnt like too 'rubbery-noodles' and it was good nonetheless. yay!
so it's april. still cold. like 0 deg C. sigh sigh. or in the low range. heard it's gonna be this cold until late april. sobz. cant wait for it to warm up more.. think it's gonna rain quite some bit this week. i need to pull myself out of hibernation and head to the gym for exercise! i'm getting fat! wait my family come dont recognise me ah!! haha. no lah, just need some coz i'm still tired these days. it's a little coz of the lack of sleep these few weeks - busy with work. 1.5 more weeks to april vacation! this week's a short week coz of good friday. looking forward to the well-needed rest!
anyways, some of the teachers organised a baby shower for my mentor teacher. and it was all planned w/o her knowledge. surprise party & breakfast. =p heh. i had a part to play in getting hold of her husband - coz i remembered his pub's name! =p the town she stays in really quite pretty. wish i had that money to stay in big places like hers. haha. anyways, i didnt bring a present - so paiseh - got her one after. she had so many cute clothings for her baby boy (she prob won't need to buy any man!) and cute stuff like soft toys (wah, everyone is crazily happy when they see cute baby stuff!) went shopping with love after my spring retreat and bought her a nice baby blue photo album. just for her baby. hee. thankfully she liked it a lot (she loves pictures!) so made up for my lack of gift on saturday - though i got "scolding" for buying her sth. haha! she's like "oh, you REALLY needn't get me anything!"
*beams* good week.
pls continue to pray for our car. we got knocked into and the hassle to get the insurance and the repair work is wah, sianz (turned off.) bothersome! love and i are thinking if it's more worthed it to have our car scrapped since the repair cost is about 75% of our car value.. pray for wisdom on what to do..
