& sick! yes, i'm still sick. like been having headaches every night.. have to force myself to finish up work before i head to bed, coz else will have lots of things pile up. i'm happy to say i'm currently a little more ahead of schedule so i'm doing better. it gets bad when i give a test coz the test usually takes me a long time to mark. i'm the kind of teacher who eh, asks students to explain what's going on in their heads and so i literally read every single line and paper there is - which is really hard on me. =| but i think at least i know where they are getting wrong, if their explanations are right and if they understand the work conceptually and just had a computational error. i'm starting to rethink if i should administer my tests in a different way - like just fill in the blanks... but i duno. will think and pray about it.
meanwhile, sch's fine. i've been peeling myself out of bed these few days and struggling with the thought of going to school. it's not that i dislike school or anything of that sorts but just wondering if i'm pushing myself too hard coz i think i do need some extra rest. hmm, i've prepared the work for tmr's class so if i really fell unwell, i might take off. see how.
staying on top of things not easy. sometimes i forget this and that. i'm learning to get my students to help me to do work, mundane stuff like punching holes in their worksheets, cutting paper, cleaning the board.. well, you get the idea. =) i also bought some chocolates for the class that had the highest average amongst my 5 classes to well, *kinda* reward them - they were so happy! =P
lots of things been happening. i'll just blog the recent ones. went camping last weekend. left boston friday 3-ish pm. headed north to New Hampshire. we camped at this place called russell pond camp grounds, in the white mountain national forest. =) we arrived like close to 7pm, and that meant we had to set up our tents in semi-darkness (sun setting mid-way). it was our first time so it was pretty fun. the tents were pretty easy. like just piece together the parts and wala, tent. =) thankfully we brought an extra comforter along so when it rained the second night (it was all cold and dreary.. =|), it was a great thing to have! of coz greg (a friend we got to know from barry, a singaporean who had his entire family here while his wife was at harvard) was so happy to show us how to cook with the burner, make instant food and also start a campfire (only first night coz second night it was raining when we got back to the campsite). i must say love's theory of "do the least for the most enjoyment" would be applied for our next "holidays". hee.
k, think i might wanna take a nap. will continue later... need to rest my body lah. =p
