heh, in the newspaper of my sch's lah. =p they were featuring all new teachers and so they came to talk to me, ask me questions and even took a pic of me. student-run. way cool. =p they didnt say much. wasnt anything abt harvard either coz they didnt ask. haha. they just asked which college i was from, so i answered NTU. my students were curious as so where Singapore was - they were saying "Ms. Lau, you're in the news!!" and were like super excited abt it. some of them even asked if i had singapore candy. haha. well, i guess i "reached out" to 2 girls who came to me at the end of the day and asked if i learnt english in sch. where they came from, china and polland, they didnt learn english. i smiled and told them that yes, english was taught in schs but it was never my best subject. hee..
i must really learn to lift up my students and my day (highly impt!) to God at the start of each new day. everything went so smoothly today. maybe i did draw on the fact that i could share about where i come from, but everything went well. students were all on time. no one disrupted class (ok, there were but not major and i managed to talk to 3 girls abt their chatting =p) and hey, almost everyone did their homework! PTL! =)
pray with me as i seek God abt where i'll be next year, and also for love. not sure if we'll stay in boston, move to another part of US or go back to SG? =p
