the weekends..

27 Aug Strangely Familiar

back in Rhode Island. somehow, the distinction from Massachusetts over ain't that great though it took close to an hour to cross the border from Boston. =) the bus ride kinda reminded me like one we took from Singapore to Genting. the last trip being the one the interns together with supervisors took up there. had so much fun with lynnette, my supervisor. *smiles* then it was another 30min ride by car back to grammy & grampy's house. the familiar 'scenic' (except it was dark & there werent many street lamps) route. humps & bumps. but nothing worst than the streets in Boston. hahha.. not that i wanna put Boston down but 2 of the world's most famous universities reside in that town & their tuition fee, being so high (due to obvious reasons which need not be stated), does not in any case help in road maintanence. strange huh? well, though i'll congratulate Singapore on her efficiency in dealing with potholes, i'd say that it does get irritating for drivers & other road users alike, when the roads are so often maintained that they pose too much diversions. hahha.. always not happy with what you have again.. =p

28 Aug A Joyous Occasion

a witness to my friends' wedding in camp. jill & ronald's. =) that's the reason why i came back to Rhode Island. it was another strangely familiar feeling.. back @ camp. somehow, it seems different not being part of camp but just back for a visit. lots of memories, feelings that cannot be described in words. the farewell proved to be slightly easier than it was the day i officially ended camp.. but then again, it could be me being anti-social & not interacting with everyone.. =p
