Alum panel

never done it before.. so it was exciting! i guess being in a small cohort (class size: <80 i think) meant that you were close(r) to your profs and classmates. i suppose being in US also meant pple moved in & out of different states.. i think most of my classmates are not in boston.. it was good seeing veronica -- tho i'm not close to her at all. managed to speak to the phd guy who invited us (i think it counts as TA-ish) abt his research and why (kinda) he chose to leave teaching and do his phd. =P

a grp of young grads.. plus a couple of oldies - career change. they had qns, and we (were supposed to have) answers. was quite fun sharing. i think most imptly, reflecting. sense somehow the other folks on the alum panel are like high-flyers in their schs. as for me, i'm just a small fry in a high-flyer sch. lol. looking ard reminded me of my days. trying to seek out "where i was". "seeing" my classmates "amongst the current batch".

pray for me as i consider further options!
