the setting was good. cho cho's a nice korean/jap restaurant. been there maybe twice, but quite like the food. the company tho, was a little weird. haha. it was a bday celebration cum "business" talk. i guess more of getting to know *possibly* potential business partners. haha.
so we met this new "friend" ian last week in church. he was there checking park street out and wx was at svc with us. i think wx had borrowed his video cam for some PSC event and so recognised him. intro-ed and we ended up gg dinner with him after dropping wx off for some singaporean cookout. basically we having a "kopitiam" event next sun where singaporean food is served. the cookout was well, sort of like the trial run, making sure all the ingredients are in, all the food cooked and tasted. we were too hungry to wait ard for food to be cooked, so we headed off for dinn. was really interesting as we learnt abt ian's educational software company that creates programs (or teaching tools) for math teachers in sg to use and how i could possibly be his platform to try out the program in US classrooms.
anyhows, today was ian's bday and his idea to bring his potential partners together seemed weird. we did click off well with ws in the end but there were moments of awkward silence. i guess mtg for the first time for 4 stranger parties contributed to that. =p

latest updated: we bought a car. finally. sounds scary. we will collect the car tmr - we didnt have comprehensive insurance on our junk car. anyway, the alarm system was also going to be installed. hopefully it will be settled before we get there coz it's a 30mins' drive from home.
