.. and colder ..

temperatures have been dropping. it's also been wetter, so mm, not too good considering me managing the cold bug lately. i didn't go to the doctor's. just had my health insurance coverage closed and switched to keng's family plan. the good thing is his is paid for by his co (& mine wasnt!) well, the complicated thing of health insurance here is that you have to have a primary physician. it's hard to understand (& hence, hard to explain) but it's like we don't know where to even start. most pple here also self-medicate unless it's sth serious.

sch has been great! i look forward to seeing my students (well, frankly, not all =p) everyday but it's just so hard leaving the soft, comfy warm bed and going out into the cold. it'll be worst when it starts snowing coz i'll have to 1. shovel my car out or 2. clear the snow off the windscreen, windows and rear screen, only to find that when i'm done with one side, the other side is already covered with snow. =( we are thinking of getting a garage space but that means extra money spent. hmpf. we'll see.

no video projector in my room yet. reporting back to sch late was bad. in the sense, everyone already took what was available. i now have to wait for a new batch of machines to come in, and who knows how long that is going to take. =( anyhows, been writing on the blackboard (oh, i hate the chalk dust, but what to do, only that's available) 5 times daily.. and cleaning well, depending on how many examples we do, 10 times daily? i just came up with a new system that would have 1 student assigned for every day of the calendar, to clean the blackboard for me. only problem is there are only 28 students in each of my classes. =( 29th, 30th & 31st are mine to clean. haha. of coz some nice students have volunteered to do 2 days instead of one. =)

i hope pple back home are doing fine. havent had much time to chat with pple. home abt 3/4pm, do hsehold chores (or nap =p), dinner, watch tv/read book, time for bed. we havent quite finished settling in yet but hopefully soon. email me or sms me or better still, write to me and snail mail! =p
