Fun Weekend!

so we went go-kart racing. that was ok for me. in part because i have short(er) legs (compared to guys) and i didnt dare to go too fast. i duno if i sprained my back a little. =( but there's this one point along my backbone that hurts when touched. there is also a small pinkish bump there, so i cant decide if it's a pimple/acne or just a concentrated point of injury. please pray for me! the petrol fumes also caused me to have a bad headache and made me feel like puking after the second try. but all in all, if we were racing with friends, it might probably be more fun. =p

headed to newport after to meet up with the TGIF gang. stayed at a nice little cozy hostel. 4 pple each hostel. broken up by "couples". our beds were facing a wall that had a nice "mountain view" - which was pretty cool to wake up to. =p the owner took us on a walking tour of newport and we learnt quite abit of the history of the place. so apparently, newport was a slave port. obviously, it was significant in that the first free black church was set up there after slavery was abolished in US. pretty nice town. good to walk in the summer. big sailing boats dock there from around the world. we met 2 german girls while on the walking tour - they were very nice, though communications in english was a little harder. ok, i make it sound so bad. we could understand each other lah. one works at BMW!! =p she helps in the design of the man-machine interaction part for the cars. wicked cool. =p

headed off to new bedford to see an old whaling town. at its peak, it probably was a very rich and buzzling city. then off to woods hole for lunch/drive. last point was plymouth. pretty cool. we got to eat a lobster dinner each (love and me lah). didnt get to take that much pics, but will *try to* put up on facebook & maybe picasa when i'm freer. lots to do this week..
