sigh, the first time sung hye brought it up, i didn't feel as bad. just now love emailed me the link to the latest news on the south korean hostages.. read and just feel this overwhelming sense of helplessness. i was telling jie: seems like a lose-lose situation leh. if you don't release the prisoners in afghan, the innocent south koreans will die. if you release the prisoners, you never know when the next 9-11/bombing/war will begin. was wondering if you could threaten the taliban extremists by killing the prisoners if the hostages aren't released but that would probably undermine the afghan-south korean relationship. oh so tricky.. what's worst is the koreans are there on a medical mission trip to help! seriously complicated. we can only lift up prayers and ask that God will settle this in His time.. only a miracle will save those 21 remaining lives (of which are 18 women!)
ok, sad things aside. love and i went to the library yesterday. on my insistence. heh. managed to borrow 4 dvds, 1 learn-japanese vcd and 2 magazines. heh, looks like we'll be back for more. well, not a lot of new shows but can make do. it's free after all! perhaps that'll keep me occupied and oops, stall the projects and earring photos i was going to crop. blah...
