Teachers on Strike!

ok, a possible strike. check this: boston news initially, that's the plan. wed evening, teachers will go down to city hall and place their vote on whether they would go on strike on thu. the issue being that their teachers' contract is still in the hanging. no resolvement, as yet. the union pushing for better benefits, better terms while the district believing otherwise. hey, i've never dreamt that i'll be so close to one.. it's always sth on tv only. heh~

but to make things complicated, there is also a weather forecast that there's a possible snowstorm tomorrow. i.e. wed. according to emails, it sounds bad. haha. like frost and hail and snow and rain. though i'm not like the best person to ask about the weather, it sounds nasty to me. hopefully it either snows bad or snows light. rain is bad because the temperature's so cold, it'll freeze to ice. that makes things dangerous.. coz it'll be very slippery everywhere. chances are though, if it snows, the strike vote day will be postponed. reason being that no one will be able to make their way down to city hall to cast their vote. so hmm.. i think though, the other reason, which in my opinion is a BIGGER reason, is probably coz it's february vacation next week. so if the school closes because of a snowstorm on wed, a strike on thu, chances are, students and teachers are most likely gonna coop up some *lame* excuse for not going to school on friday. haha!
