Bad Bad

no strike. they voted to hold it off until the terms of the contract is reviewed again.. otherwise there might be another strike. =(

no snow day. i.e. we had to go to school still even though it was snowing. =( eventually it turned to rain and it was a horrible mess. snow + rain = slush. bad combi. bad timing. karen told me to leave early because it was a mess in the school lobby. too many teachers and students here - it was used as a waiting area for the students while their buses arrive. she said i could sneak out and wouldnt be noticed coz it was such a chaos, it didnt matter. moreover, there were many pairs of eyes watching the kids and since i had school (classes at harvard), i decided to take her advice. good choice because i spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to clear the snow (which was turning into chunks of ice because of the rain) on my car. the rooftop, the hoods, the windows, the front and rear windshields. gosh. i was holding my umbrella, a stick (special kind to clear the snow/ice) and trying not to slip on the slippery ground. i got all wet from bottom up because the wind wasnt helping much, other than blowing the rain into me.

took off my down jacket in the car and drove home. it was terrible trying to park because of the ridge of ice that had formed alongside the road (we park parallel along the road). i did manage in the end with the underside of our car scraped. =( time to sleep now.. too tired. will continue again. btw, next week's one week school vacation! yay!! =P
