busy, busy, busy! phew.. a never-ending stream of work. been so tired. blah. tired tired tired. haha. ok, just in the mood of complaining. =p
well, the car's been ok. we went to super 88 (asian supermarket) yesterday with serene (seng was busy at small group) for dinner. wanted to go to this yummy peking duck restaurant to eat peking duck (what else? =p) but decided that 2 of us won't make good mouths to have a whole duck (plus expensive too) so maybe wait for seng and serene for another time. =) it's been much more convenient with a car. i guess. going to wherever we want. w/o feeling like we made someone inconvenienced.. =) keng came to pick me up from school coz i hadnt told glenda (she gives me rides to school) yet and i felt i shld tell her in person - which i finally did! went to trader joe's after school and got ourselves a pint of sherbet, some choc-covered cashew nuts (love likes cashew while i like almonds but i'm ok.. since it's choc covered anyways =p) and some dessert wine! so unlike me right? i still dont like the smell (& taste) of alcohol.. but i've always been told that a little does my body good (how, i duno.. =p) so trying the 'sweeter' of those cheap ones available. apparently it was a good pick (randomly, or shld i say, carefully =p, chosen by love based on content - i think it's cherry flaboured - and price. hah! students lah..read: excuse) coz the cashier said he liked it. =) was also trying to find yomeishu at super 88 but couldnt. not sure if this outlet is too small or sth. will try another branch next week or sth. been complaining about feeling fatigue and paoru suggested i try drinking that. mum say to get D.O.M. instead. might be easier to find since it's a french wine (as compared to yomeishu which is jap/chinese).
ok, so i drifted. yep, we met this singaporean outside the supermarket, as we were about to load the groceries into the boot of the car (anyone has bright ideas how to hold the boot cover up coz it's not fully working =( shoot me an email or leave a comment..) he was asking if we had zipped a car (eh, basically it's rental.. hard to explain but you get my point) to get groceries and we said no, just bought a car. then he looked and was shocked (you shld see the expression on his face). "you bought this car from kenneth?!?!!??" i guess we were all equally shocked, not to mention, freezing from the cold (i just checked, it's 2 deg celcius outside. brr!!) didnt quite know how to respond but said yes. (duh) the guy (cant spell his name) said the car was involved in a major rear-end accident. sigh. we kinda figured that out when the body of the car showed signs of repairs but our questioning him if he had any major accidents before led nowhere (i duno if you consider him lying - i would - or just not telling us everything..) - he just said it has been totally fine, the 5 years he drove and it could have been the previous owner who had a major accident. oh well.. =( sob sobz. i guess the car's ours, cant do much to change that. not sure if we shld confront kenneth (he went back to sgp to be A.Prof in SMU) or just leave it. just pray for us. for safety. also that our car will not come into any problems that would require us to spend a whole lot of money. =|
