in love. yes. haha. i know God loves me. i know my family loves me - my parents, my brother: baby he might be in my eyes, he's been a great source of encouragement. =) i know my love loves me. i know my friends back home love me. what more can i say? i am blessed.
anyways, i'm also *kinda* surrounded by phd students. it's scary.. haha. they look like normal people like you and me (ok, maybe i dont look too normal but that's not the point =p) but their brains. oo.. i was talking to a neuro-scientist and some EE (electrical engineering) cum comp sci people. couple of material sci.. but all doing their phds. i've never thought i'll even be pursuing my masters but heh, recently, a thought passed thru' my mind - shld i also then do my phd? muahaha. (sheesh, the kind of influence here is SCARY!!)
mum wants me to go back to sgp. i think she misses me. i do too. well, i cant say anything for sure now. one year down. i just want to save up to bring my family over for my graduation next june. beyond that, it's too early to say. praying that the Lord's will and plans for me guide my every step while i am here in the US.

that was thu night. i had a hard time last night. slept at 5am. busy 'making my point' on the phone with keng. the phone network finally died on us and keng had to get seng online, to call me to tell that the network's down in seattle. i guess it was God's way of saying "enough is enough. time to sleep, kids." i was basically the mule. the stubborn one. one who refused to burge in any case. love had explained thousands of times his rationale and i just felt so insecured about it. being apart this summer (though we're like 6hrs' flight away instead of our normal 24hrs) meant a lot more to our rlshp and we're learning so hard. me at least. i was gently reminded by my kor (brother) in perth who asked me to read the book on the 5 languages of love (i bought it before i left for US!) so i can better learn how to communicate our love. timely nudge. i still don't like it when he called just now to say he's going clubbing after dinner - i personally have sth agst bfs who club. but it's me. i duno how much of all these is me.. i wanna change but haiz, it's sooooooooooo hard!! trust me. pls keep me in prayers. *sobz* pray for us.
on a lighter note, i went over to watch a movie at karen hong's place. this singaporean girl doing her masters @Harvard - sama sama (same!).she stays 3mins' away. =p Life is beautiful. it's nice. i like the story line a lot. abt how this father made the account of the holocaust to his son in the most beautiful story. how they lived thru the days and how the father did everything to make the boy believe that life is beautiful. =) there is just so much in life to thank God for.. are we doing that?
tog, we met up with another singaporean, sumin. doing her phd @Harvard. went to this nice yummy indian restuarant. of coz expensive too. haha. but i guess, well, God will bless me with the extra money to live thru'.. =p i submitted my applications for a job @my sch's library. not sure if i'll get it but it'll be in the computer lab, just as help desk assistant. =p pay's good. not sure how flexible the hours are yet but pray if it's God's will, i'll get it. =) wanted to stay over at sumin's but i didnt prep and so didnt have my contact lens with me. we called the Harvard evening shuttle van (a service which is provided by the sch to make sure its students are safely home esp when they have to work in their labs late at night) and i got home in a flash! the driver was very cute. i felt i was in an amusement park ride, kind of. hah. he drove pretty fast and the music was country-style and the driver was 'dancing away'.. suited him totally. =p
**i'm starting to learn jap by myself.. =p
