The Palm Tree

ok, there's a line in fine print at the end of this email i received that said i couldnt and shouldnt break copyright laws.. so well folks, i'll paraphrase the story of the palm tree (let's see how much i've actually picked up from counseling classes abt paraphrasing.. =p).

it's an amazing tree. even if you chopped it, it can still survive because the nutrients are not stored just beneath the bark like in most trees. =) where other trees get uprooted during a terrible tropical storm, the palm tree remains rooted to the ground.. when the strong wind blows such that it bends all the way and its leaves touch the ground, it doesnt break. yet when the storm clears, the tree returns upright and even becomes stronger! wow! we are told to be like the palm tree - have its roots deeply rooted, searching for water (in our case, living water i.e. God) such that its depth exceed its height. trials and tribulations may come (& probably will).. let us not lose faith but continue to cling to His promises..
