things happen. they always do. matter of split seconds. a life is lost. in a blink of an eye, like it or not. more often that not, not.
imagine the shock i got when i received an sms from davina while i was watching movie (I Not Stupid Too). it said "Hi, my dad died in an accident this morning. Pls pray for my family. Thanks." now, imagine the stunned face i had. ok, maybe it's me. i dont think i'll sms my friends if such a thing happen (Lord, pls grant me many more years with my parents), much less know how to respond to her sms. i probably would have called someone but not be able to hold myself together or sth like that, esp when it's a sudden passing away of a loved one. managed to put some words on my hp and send it, in my best efforts to extend a hand of condolences - it's very hard, trust me.
it didnt dawn on me that her dad was the security guard who died (apparently it was instant death - serious head injuries.) when a school bus reversed into him. it pinned him under and probably dragged him couple of hmm, ok, some distance unknown. at least that was what the news and newspaper reported. sheesh, i didnt know it was such big news! davina hasnt replied my sms regarding how she is (i know it's a stupid qn but i duno how else i shld ask actually. sigh) but pretty much worried abt the mum. coz her mum just lost her mum (i.e. davina's grandma) a month back. she looked very frail then. i wonder how she's taking this sudden death of her husband. do keep davina and donna in prayers (they're sisters btw). one other sister, i duno her. nor her name.

anyways, side line.. the movie was pretty touching.. but i have to agree with mei that they used (slapstick) humor to cover up what would have really spoken to many people. in between tears, i had to laugh because they added (duh) jokes. yes i cried. happy? oh well.. that's the "world" for you. haha. oh no, do i sound like i'm condemning the world? opps. i hope not. anyhows, it's drama-mama. but then again, i would think there are really "stupid" parents out there - right, no one is perfect but to some extent, i've always felt strongly agst those parents who didnt want children but ended up with "accidents" - parents who i deem "unworthy" to raise a child up. ok, my feelings tonight a little too strong? i shall go pray and sleep. tomorrow will be a better day!
