wisdom tooth removal

jie: i still have my wisdom teeth if u still want 'wisdom'. =p asked the dentist to keep it for me, and the nurse to pack. lol.

i fasted almost 24 hours. some websites i read said u can't have any food/drink 6 hours before. since my op was scheduled at 10am, it meant i had to have my 'last meal' at 4am. i didn't wake up for it.. so i just didnt eat. obviously i didnt take into acct the fact that i cant eat after the surgery.. so yeah, almost 24 hrs w/o food. =P

ok, now it's just a little less than 36 after the surgery. on the whole, it was scary. i was put on nitrious oxide (aka laughing gas, but i didnt laugh. read: dry humor.) then given some freezing agent so i won't feel the LA when the dentist injected it. i think i had a total of 6 shots of LA. i was still able to move every other part of my body that didn't get the shots, including my tongue.. but i must've sounded funny with the lack of control of my lower jaw and right upper jaw. =P nonetheless, i had "fun" experiencing how it was really like, like in the movies, where the camera was viewing the surgeons above the patient.. pretty cool. i remb telling myself that hey, the scene they portray on tv drama is very real! haha. oh, i was "puking" blood as i walked with love from the hospital (ok, dental clinic) to the car. i couldn't ctrl my mouth, couldn't swallow my saliva, and since blood was still "spewing" out, it mixed with my saliva and drooled out of my mouth. remb i said i couldn't feel my lower jaw? well, i couldn't feel anyth drool down the side of my mouth until it dripped past to my neck/chest. must've been quite a scene! love had to "catch" the blood with his handky. after which i just held my chin higher, and the handky over my mouth..

wound is healing. i think. the bleeding stopped after maybe 2-3 hours. it wasn't as painful as how others described it. took only 2 (strong) painkillers so far. didnt need to have another since the one i took before i slept last night. been good. no pain when i woke up this morning. so happy coz was bracing myself for the "worst" (second) day. =) managed to eat quite a bit today too. tho had some noodles stuck to my wound -- had to rinse my mouth a couple of time to dislodge it.

alrighty, time for my hot shower and off to bed!
