our decision to house our new car in the covered garage was probably the best decision this winter. somehow, there have been a lot of snow storms this year. just soooooo glad that i dont have to wake up earlier every morning, clear the snow and shovel our car out of the snow. =) obviously we're spending more on rent/"gym"/car park than what we shld but heck. =p
we did some shoveling today though. not because our car needed it. whay & lee-peng is a malaysian couple who attends our bible study at PSIF (park street international fellowship) and whay is currently away for a conference for a few days. lee-peng has to then take care of her 2 boys (ages 8 and 10) and since they live in a town house, they are required by law to have their driveway and sidewalks cleared of snow - remind us to invest in a snow blower (machine to clear snow) if we own landed property here in boston. we drove by to pick lee-peng and the kids up for church and saw that wow, the snow storm left behind a lot of snow!! went to church, ate lunch and drove them back. stayed to help shovel the sidewalks and lee-peng's car. whay's car was already cleared in the morning. quite a lot of work. remind us also to not get a mpv unless we truly need it - clearing the snow off the high roofs and wide car wasn't easy! perhaps that can be solved if we have garage space lah. but the sidewalks would still require clearing. hmpf.
i brought our car to the automatic car wash yesterday. jit was with me coz we went costco tog. he was so cute abt it coz it was his first time sitting in a car going thru the wash - i think he was pretty fascinated that the car was spick and spank. =) there were 2 guys at the end of the wash who dried the car with towels. nice job! will return there some other time. i guess we'll use the coin operated self-wash when the weather gets better...
