things are a little topsy-turvy these days. might have been the snow storms. students' brain froze. haha! not to mention, mine too. haha! another snow storm forecasted for tonight. starting around midnight wor. i'm praying that it wont be too bad and that the snow will remain soft when i wake up tomorrow morning coz if it turns to ice (i.e. the temp gets a little warmer and snow changes to freezing rain) then it'll not be good for driving (& walking).
thu: it was ok. the roads after the snow storms were fine. but.. the car park at my sch was horrible!! i had to literally walk like a penguin! because there was like a layer of ice half an inch thick! so yeah.. like had to "ice-skate" to the doors. had to do that when i left sch too. "ice-skated" to the car. not sure if it's coz the custodians didnt well, plough? (duno the right word man!) the roads or what.. i almost slipped a few times!
i think lessons have been going well. takes time to warm up the frozen brains. haven't been able to discipline myself to get to bed before 10:30pm these few nights. guess i've gotten used to staying up over the vacation. oops! feel so tired during the sch hours. come back just wanna collapse on the bed. oh for one thing that i've to give thanks about, our windows have been leaking freezing cold air in for the longest time ever. they aren't open, but the hinges where you open and close the windows.. there's like a gap between and air just leaks in. i put in a work order last week and finally someone came to seal the windows (which also means we cant open the windows unless we "break the seals") on tue. it's warm and cosy now. yay!
seng & serene are in town. seng's back at MIT helping to host microsoft's silverlight challenge. met them for dinner with rj last night. they came over to play wii after. too bad our new game, raving rabbits, wont be here until next week (there's a slight chance it might arrive tmr!) coz they leave sat. if you haven't tried the game, go for it! it's really quite fun playing with friends. i think we almost died laughing. =p wanted to buy the whole series (RR1 & RR2) but decided to use akuou's birthday giftcard to buy love a pair of gloves. =) another time. we've also shortlisted other things that we prob wanna get in the near future. just praying that my sch's 17% budget cut (laying off 14 teachers) won't affect me.. but then again, it's all in God's hands.. =)
