New workout

well, everytime it snows, i get to do my routine workout. the heavier the snow showers, the more i get to exercise my muscles. there's also of coz a chance of "over-working-out" but cant be helped simply coz you cant move with piles of snow on the car. =| you technically only need to clear the windows but man, i really hate those drivers who do that coz as they travel, chunks of snow will fall off their cars! today is no different. usually, clearing the snow on our car takes a good 15min, if the snow accumulation is abt an inch or two. when it goes beyond that, it gets really tiring - arms aching, not to mention cold. plus if it's still snowing as you clear, you kinda have to do the job "twice" - one last time before you get into the car and use the wipers and back windscreen heating lines. this is to ensure that the travel will be smooth and that you will be able to view through the clear glass windows of the car- notice i emphasize clear coz when it's frosted, no way is it near see-thru! the other hazard is that roads, esp small ones, are hard to travel on. the big arteries and highways are cleared quickly, often sanded too (for grip/traction) and even if road-side parking causes one lane to be taken up (not to mention the snow piles along the way), there's usually consensus to drive slow and give way. on small roads, you get to drive through snow and it's very easy to fish-tail (lose control of the car coz it's slippery).

anyway, we got into a minor accident yesterday. we were waiting at the lights (red) and then suddenly, a car crashed into us from behind! the impact (mainly absorbed by our car's cumper) causes us to jerk forward and our backs were kinda aching. we were in the middle of a 3-laned road so we signaled to turn into a small road. of coz there were many honks - you know how patient pple are. thankfully, we werent injured. the lady wrote down her car plate number, registration #, contact # and insurance. duno if we shld claim or what. ours is third party so well, we'll have to do the "chasing" if we want to do sth abt it. sigh. we're leaving in 2 days so wondering if we shld file a claim anyway, and do the rest later when we're back. pls pray for wisdom! =)

oh, and on the note of a workout, keng and yogi (one of our housemates) had a "good" time digging our car out of the snow tue night.. or was it wed midnight-2am? =p love paid this guy in a big bulldozer to help bulldoze some snow away. i think we paid him 25 bucks? yogi and him tried to dig but i think the snow was frozen solid. in the end, they had another smaller bulldozer guy bulldoze and help push. this guy was nice abt not accepting any cash - he said he's paid to do it anyway. =) thankfully, coz love had only a few dollars in his wallet. i believe it was after 2 hours of hard work, did they finally "free" the car! thank God for *strong* guys!
