i've 6 tiny blisters on my right hand, just below the thumb. =( came about due to baking choc chip cookies. yeah, careless me touched the side of the aluminium baking tray.. bleah. it's not the first cooking/baking incident liaoz. last week, i cooked chicken porridge coz love was sick - infection developed into bad bout of flu (he's still on antibiotics) - and i didnt think oily food would do him good. so yep, took the chicken, some baby carrots and boiled the rice. we usually cook in the third floor kitchen (we stay 2nd) because it's larger and cleaner than the 2nd floor kitchen. anyhows, i finished cooking and was coming down the stairs when i slipped. missed the last step.. the pot cover and laddle "flew" off and moi fell on my knees. it must have been a loud thud coz love came running out. got bruise on both knees (pretty big) and a 10cents graze. it hurts though. been applying antiseptic and vitamin e on it. thankfully, i lost no porridge. =)
i ran the blisters numerous times under very cold (read: almost freezing) tap water while baking - took me a good 1.5hrs. had my laptop with me to do some work so went online to search for burns treatment. someone suggested keeping a cold, wet cloth there if it is a small area so i used a paper towel in the kitchen. it didnt help much. love helped me email out to the dorm to ask if anyone had burnol - the antiseptic cream for burns - but sadly no one responded. haha. i asked serene and she told me that ruijie might have so love went over to check. he did find it but the lotion was expired. july 06. but he offered aloe vera. which helped a lot. =) thankfully.
it's been busy here. time spent to run errands for pple.. to get work done.. to get rest. i'm not great at time management. always lagging behind. always missing deadlines until the very last minute. sigh. i have half a heart to go home. to take a break from all these. NO money. NO time. oh well.. ENDURE i shall. gambatte!
