went for a job interview today. was called up by the company i did my attachment with. sms (text message) my supervisor when i received the call on tuesday & she called back. asked me to go ahead & try it out more for experience.. yep, not as if i'm in need of a job urgently.. still deciding if i should
- work full-time & self-study (will this be possible??),
- work part-time & study full-time (6 hrs a weeks but i'm still considered a full-time student..hahha) or
- just concentrate on studying fully??
hahha.. tough decisions. will consider based on job scope, pay & i suppose also the possibility of how working there will help build my resume.. but i guess i'll wanna do it God's way.. Liz say God literally 'closed' the door on her other tries & made it very clear that she was to go into teaching. now, the scary thing is that it just seem as if the whole world (ok, i know i'm exaggerating) is going into it. Marcus Tang, Lance, Liz, Janet.. all in NIE (National Institute of Education), Singapore. Guohong went to apply for teaching as well. argh!! after 3 months of seeking the Lord, i still feel so uncertain about it. did think of furthering my studies maybe next year or the year after. work to gain more experience & also for money. dad did say he'll support me through grad-school but i don't think it'll be very fair to my brother who hasn't even started his college education.. of course i did volunteer to support him partially through med-school but hmm, perhaps it'll be a better idea for me to support myself through grad-school & leave dad to support him for med-school.. oh well, still too early to say. mum say i must start planning for my own future.. for my marriage -- wedding & all, for my family, for my kids.. man, she thinks pretty far ahead.. *stress*
was abit late for the interview. had planned to take a cab there & not walk in the blistering hot sun but waited almost a good 30mins with no empty cabs in sight. so had to call for one. reached there slightly late but had to do some administrative procedures before being 'locked' in a room to do an essay & a personality test (both of which i took before when i went for the interview for my attachment *rolls eyes*) for almost 40mins. got pretty bored & i didnt have my hp with me so hee, used the phone on the table to dial an internal extension to get to my supervisor. the thing about knowing the place & people beforehand.. =) 2 other guys answered the call (both knew i was there for the interview) before they finally passed the call to my supervisor. hahha.. wasnt able to join them for lunch since it was already 12noon (my interview was scheduled @11am) but well, one of my interviewer actually told me, after the interview (more casual) had started & she received a sms (text), that my supervisor had gone to the nearby coffeeshop (somewhat like food court except that it's @ the void deck of an apartment block or shophouse & it's usually open air) for lunch & i was to call her when the interview was done. ah.. nice to know all the folks there. even the 3 people who interviewed me were familiar faces.. not that i've spoken much to them (since they are higher ranking folks) but well, the tone of the interview was pretty easy-going (not sure if that's good or bad =p) of course the 'hard' part was explaning why i had to repeat my subjects & also what i planned to do in the future (you might wanna know that the company deals with IT -- information technology =p) because it didnt seem (with my personality & what-nots) that i might fit into any positions they can offer.. hahah. wherever God will lead.. need to trust Him. yes, yes.. =)
ended the day with a tennis session with Abby, Lionel, Kexin, Gary, Jiamin & Catherine (she's also from Cedar!! studying medicine now.. wow!) playing pretty ok. still have room for improvements.. like always kena suan (get criticized) for hitting the ball with a wrong angle.. or weird angle.. which ever that's supposed to be. =p time for bed..
