movies.. yet again?

u bet! hahah.. let's see. i kinda lost track where i stopped. i should've kept the receipts for the movies we've rented.. that way, i wouldnt be killing brain cells trying to recall the titles. hahha.. anywayz, got off foreign shows for awhile. i did 'lemony snickets - a series of unfortunate events' (which was a crappy show), 'shall we dance?', 'paycheck' (nice, watched it before but i cldnt remember much of the story except.. .. .. go watch it yourself =p). i missed watching 'house of flying daggers' (the twins watched it while i was out, yes shopping.. hahha) but realised i watched it before (remember the ending was pretty crappy..) so it didnt matter that much.

i went over to shaohong's place yesterday aftn. it was a 1-hr bus journey from where i lived. had to transfer to another bus at Bellevue that would take me to the university district where he lived. =) was quite cool exploring myself after a lunch at the Microsoft campus with the twins.. seng came to pick me up from home (a short 5mins' drive from his office - thanks!) man, the ambience in Microsoft was way cool! (not like a work place at all! ok, at least the outside environment; i didnt get to see the insides) it felt great to be having lunch in the gentle afternoon sun (kinda like basking in the sun on the gentle lawn or by the beach =P) amidst waterfall & gentle streams (of coz man-made lah). took some photos along the way.. including a short video clip while the bus was on the bridge across lake washington (i tell u, it's more like an ocean man.. it's huge! but yep, proud to say i was on the sail boat kenny was sailing =p) managed to figure my way & reach there. keng lent me his hp (thanks!) so i could call shao & also allow them to contact me later (they were gg for some 'intern party').. i think the plan's quite cool. this family plan which allows users of the 'family' to call each other free-of-charge. unlimited too! man.. sgp shld work on this.. =p

so it was a nice home-cooked meal (read: delicious!) made by the indonesian gals (they're shaohong's & kenny's coursemates) at shao's place (& i already had lunch in Microsoft!). each person prepared a different dish so in the end, we had abt let's see.. 6-7 dishes? (mua just went to eat.. *opps =p) fried rice with ikan bilis & nuts, bah ku tea (pork in herbal soup), pork ribs, fried corn fritters, burgerdel (duno if spelt correctly. minced meat with mashed potatoes & stuff -- some malay food), mi chiam kuey (ok, i'm very bad at these spellings. peanut kuey) except that it came with chocolate!! man, i think that was my favourite dish of all. =p bean spouts with tofu, pie (which i thought i would've called it lagsane instead since it was cheese, cheese & more cheese with meat, potato & sausages =p) yep, had a small glass of white wine too. yucks though. hahha.. guess i still duno how to enjoy alcohol. heh. =p kenny & shao were telling us that it was nice & light.. i beg to defer. hahah. still like the dessert wine i tasted the last time i was in shao's room. i sacrificed (read: didnt wana force myself to drink liaoz lah) the remaining of my glass (which was already very small, 100ml when full?) to brandon. =p who came into the common kitchen to talk.. or shld i say, savour what was remaining (we still had like 4 bags of food after brandon & i-cant-remember-his-name ate loh..)

after that went to uni village to shop (read: tag along this rich indon gal; window shop for me). okok, i bought sth =p @victoria's secret & no, i'm not going to post it here.. hahah. too bad. =p ask me if you dare. =p went to Ambercondia & Flitch (sorry, i dont follow brands so duno if it's spelt correctly but yeah, it's some branded designers' clothes place) where shao & kenny had the privilege of having 3 gals provide (read: constructive) comments for their try-ons. =) found out that xiaojun (this sgp gal who's studying in UW full-time) is also from cedar!! hahah.. small world! & she knows juli (my cousin -- they same batch) hee. so cool. we promised to keep in touch & yeah, still have to call my airlines to check if i can stop over at all my transits on my way back to sgp.. seattle (to see caroline & xiaojun) then taipei to meet mum & jie there for 2-3days if possible.. then it'll be back to conquer NTU! hahha..

it took them (guys mah, what were you expecting? *grinz*) pretty long to try on all the shirts that were on clearance sale so we were all super late for our respective appointments (shao & frenz were going to their professor's house for dinner). also, had to help xiaojun shift her printer, get food & drinks for the dinner & yeah, send me home (to see where home is coz shao, kenny & 2 other frenz are going to stay with the twins after their trip to grand canyon & yellowstone national park -- i wana go too!! so they planned to leave their stuff at the twins' apartment for 2 weeks). night ended with movie watching ('paycheck') at some Microsoft interns' place. 2 indians. one of them looked pretty good =p smart looking (understatement for MIT students huh?). reminded me of shashi.. =p the other had a broken arm (in cast) due to a fall off the bicycle (?!?) hahha.. sorry ah, pretty good with bikes so wonder how these things could happen. then agn, if jie could 'fly', why cant such things happen? *grinz*
