BPS declared snow day for today. received a call yesterday evening abt 5pm (& i slacked ever since) announcing that there will be no school today due to the expected heavy snow storm. love had to work still, so i woke up with him to send him off. =p chatted on skype with mum & didi for the earlier part of the aftn (as well as chatted with other folks on gtalk) then headed out to meet cy to go galleria. heh. wanted to pay my macy's bill and check out the stuff in the mall so dragged him all the way there for company. oops. i'm so naughty.
in the end, i only bought toothpaste (gosh right?) and then headed to meet love for lunch. met at our fav. lunch-time jap restaurant. yummy sushi as usual. this time we were alittle more adventurous & also tried the beef teriyaki dish.
didn't do much at home after. took a nap after reading the travel guide for vegas & grand canyon. then cooked laksa. added chicken & veg (nappa cabbage). for the first pot luck i've organised. heh. everytime is wait for pple to organise then i go. i think the turnout was pretty good so yay, success! it was snowing really hard and driving was so scary (not much friction on the road - i mean you cant even see the roads, it's just a furry of white) but we managed to pick a couple of pple up & drive over to a grad dorm on the other side of mit campus. food was great! we had a good spread & my idea of splitting pple by names (names starting with A-I bring drinks/appetizers, J-S bring main courses and T-Z bring fruits/desserts) worked out really well. =) happy! got the idea from school faculty party. of coz had to tweet, couldnt split exactly 1/3 else too many appetizers & desserts. for one, i didnt even list who had names beginning with what so i'm really glad it worked out.
