Surprise Surprise

life is full of surprises. just when you least expect, a friend tells you a secret. wah, cant even imagine. a gf leaves for another guy. flats are bought, houses renovated. people change jobs, people die. as we grow older, our list of responsibilities increase. when you were a child, you could practically live off someone else cleaning your mess. when you were a teenage, you could *still* live off your parents (lucky ones i guess). once you hit the all-so-mighty 'adulthood', you wish your life could start from scratch again. things done, words said; joy, fulfillment, anger, regret. i have not reach the stage of 'meeting up old friends'. perhaps i've lived in my comfort zone for too long and never quite made enough 'old' friends to be meeting up with them. at least not yet. i guess the time will come when i can say i'm mtg old friends.. but until then, i'm quick sure God has a plan for me to fulfill. living overseas isn't the easiest. the 'old' self has to evolve to 'new' self, seeking to displace 'old' stuff for 'new' stuff. new friendships need to be forged and sometimes, old ones forgone, forgotten. sadly, real friends are hard to come by and many times, i just think back of the 'old' friends i left behind when i boarded that plane and wished well, cant say i didnt board right? so yeah, somehow, someday soon, we'll get together again.
