ok, so i got rejected a 2nd time. i was almost there.. both times so close.. the final round of interview and i lost the position to someone who had more teaching experience (& i suspect in both cases, americans). not that i'm agst americans.. i am afterall in america. it's the visa sponsorship issue. no sane sch is gonna hire me and pay 10k in applications and legal fees. i am thinking of writing to the dept of education to address this issue but well, the singaporean side of me is kiasi (afraid to die) - what if my letter just sits in an office tray and never gets looked at. won't i be wasting time?
oh to trust God for the best job. so hard. taking a step back to rest for abit before resuming my search i guess.
been having fun staying home. made ginseng chicken soup for dinner last night. spent a long time fighting with the whole chicken.. getting it cut into pieces. i was planning to make paper wrapped chicken tonight but love said to hold coz he had chicken for lunch today. oh well.. =p making sambal fish then. hee. i think the sambal chilli that serene's parents brought over is great! was telling irene that i miss mee rebus and mee siam. =p she said she'll try to send the mixes over. might try to make this soy sauced egg/pork maybe next week or sth. when she passes me the recipe. hee. cooking is pretty fun. i duno how working mums balance both house and work though. was watching tv while ironing some shirts for love, a skirt & polo-tee for myself and that took like almost 1.5hrs! haha. maybe i'm just not efficient.. =p
