Slap in the face

thankfully not me. as yet. hopefully it will never happen. anyway, it's just a metaphor.. no one got physically slapped in the face. my middle sch coordinator (somewhat like the principal of middle sch) had been asking P *for the longest time ever - or so she says* to allow her to organise a dance for the 8th grade graduating class but it never came true... until a group of parents went to P and asked for permission to have a end-of-year party for the 6th graders. i said now that it's "open", she could go try.. and her reply? "i'm being slapped on my face" gosh. that must hurt. she's leaving after being in the position for 15 years! P is taking the sch to another level, w/o much support from the faculty. most teachers i hear, are very upset abt the sudden & abrupt change. many said they'll leave w/in a year. it is sad to have such good, committed teachers leave. =|

it's less than a month. i'm really excited. the end of the tunnel is in sight...
