the beginning of the end

once in awhile, when i get cranky, it seems as tho God is far away from me. sometimes the proximity is blurred, only to be realised at the end of the day, i was the one moving away from God.

today is one of those days i didnt doze off in church. *grinz* as much as i feel the sermons are very cheem at my church, whenever a visiting pastor or a guest speaker preaches, i miss the 2 main pastors' preaching most. hmpf. strange me. today's sermon was entitled "the beginning of the end". it spoke abt the end-times, and how God's wrath is the beginning of the end. it's a temporary thing tho, not one that would last eternity - which of coz, is good news.

recently, boston celtics (basketball) won the championships after a 22-year "dry". the city took to the streets to celebrate. pastor used that as sort of a picture of how things would be in heaven - a joyous celebration (of coz much better!) - and how we shld approach the "end" with joy, knowing that in due time, we will also celebrate with the heavenly hosts! =) of coz as you read on in revelations, it does turn scary with the 7 angels overturning their 7 bowls. *shrugs at the thot and really prays that i will reach out to the many not-yet-saved ones around me*
